On February 16th, professional skateboarder Felipe Gustavo joined us at Next Up for some skating and conversation. The experience gave our participants some real perspective on what life can be like as a professional athlete, victories, injuries, and all. Even after knee surgery and eight months off his board, Felipe put on an impressive show, and the kids had a blast skating the park with him. After the session, the Brazilian athlete shared his inspirational story with us, backed it up with some exciting footage, and invited the kids to ask questions and learn more.
