The 29th Annual Tampa Pro. The best pro skaters came from everywhere to try to make the cut into the top 30. The internet gave up halfway through the day, Brian lit himself on fire, but we managed to make it to the FINAL CUT.
The first to make their mark internationally were the Brazilians, of course, but in their wake almost every country in Latin America has made its own contribution to skateboarding on the world stage from Argentina’s Diego Bucchieri and later Milton Martinez to Peru’s Angelo Caro, Colombia’s Jhancarlos Gonzalez, Chile’s Matthias Torres and so on.
SPoT OG’s Brian Schaefer and Paul Zitzer made it out to Paris to support Etnies and the Far N’ High crew for their 14th Pro/Am Contest that took place May 12-15, 2022. Featuring Ivan Monteiro, Jan Hirt, Remco Erkeland, Jonathan Jean-Philippe, Justin Sommer, Matias Dell Olio, Wallace Gabriel, Max Berguin, Becker Dunn, Nassim Lachhab, Joseph Garbaccio, Julian Jeang-Agliardi, Benjamin Garcia, Noah Francisco, Hugo Corbin, Angelo Caro, Vinicius Santos, Alex Decunha, Richard Tury, Zuzanna Bone, Weronik Choromanska, Juul Plaggenborg, Auro Bredart, Lucie Schoonheere, Camille Fleurence, Lea Schairer, Xenia Maricheva, Roos Zwetsloot, Lore Bruggeman and Diego Fiorese.
A bunch of tricks that could have won somewhere else didn’t even crack the top 5. Just one of the reasons it’s been called the BEST Best Trick contest of all time.

Red Bull hit the streets of Paris to check out some classic Parisian spots with TJ Rogers, Lucas Rabelo, Angelo Caro, Gustavo Ribeiro & more as we get ready for the Red Bull Paris Conquest!
From demos, to signings, to photoshoots, to hitting the streets for the next video part, pro and am skaters alike seem to have the best job on earth. However, when the tours end and the contest season has mellowed out, it’s always good to be back home and enjoy skateboarding in its greatest form: low-stress, no-deadlines, and with the good homies. This is what “Field Day” is all about.
In this episode of FIELD DAY, we head to Angelo Caro’s hometown Lima, Peru to see how he spends his usual days with his dogs, training for Tokyo and skating street spots with his friends.
Road warrior Dani Millan’s Searching for the Mayas action remix follows pro skaters Jaakko Ojanen, Madars Apse, Angelo Caro and Zack Wallin on tour throughout Belize, Guatemala and Mexico!
