Volcom Presents: SoCal Latin Takeover
Last summer the Latin America skate team made a trip to Southern California to hit all of the classic spots they’ve seen in videos. Among the squad was Akira Shiroma from Brazil, Bralio Sagas from Chile, Jhancarlos Gonzalez from Colombia and Michael Scott from Mexico. They met up with other Volcom riders such as Omar Hassan, CJ Collins and Collin Provost during the week they were here and needless to say they were all impressed on what the Latin team put down!

This year’s up scaled bowl hosted a slew of rippers that ensured for a crowd-pleasing competition. All 51 Am bowl contestants qualified through the Podium App and only the top 8 made to the finals. CJ Collins’ first time to La Kantera
At the age of 14, little ripper CJ Collins headed out to Getxo, located in the Basque Country region of Spain, for the 2017 La Kantera Pro. Not only was it his first time to Spain and skating the notorious La Kantera bowl, he also took home FIRST PLACE!
Vans Park Series Huntington Beach Men’s Highlights | 2017 Vans Park Series
Stop 5 of the 2017 Vans Park Series was back on the hot sands of Huntington Beach. The quality of skating was at an all time high in the custom built skatepark lead by young gun Tom Schaar who stamped his name into first place on the event. Ben Hatchell was back and better than ever with a mind blowing run that put him in 2nd place while CJ Collins came in at 3rd place with a ru that no 14 year old should be doing!
