Heimana’s Tacoma, better known as @Manaz_Yotaz on the ‘gram, is kept in Southern California, while he keeps a 1998 4Runner stashed away on his home island of Hawai’i. Skateboarding has officially made its Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games, where athletes from all around the world showcase their skills to a global audience. Among those skateboarders was Heimana Reynolds representing not only the United States but also the Hawai’ian islands. Now residing in Carlsbad, California, Heimana lives in one of SoCal’s mecca for skateboarding and has an abundant amount of skateparks at his fingertips to master his craft. Just a few weeks before Heimana caught his flight out to Japan, Dew Tour had the pleasure of following him around to get a look at what a typical day is like for the skateboard Olympian. Watch as Heimana takes us to his local coffee shop, scope out some waves, and get some scrapes in at Poods skatepark and at the CATF.
Dew Tour Setups: Team USA’s Heimana Reynolds Skateboard Park Setup
Out of 613 athletes the United States is sending to the Tokyo Olympics, Heimana Reynolds is one out of 12 skateboarders on Team USA representing skateboarding in the park competition. Although he skipped out on competing at Dew Tour Des Moines due to rehabbing a minor injury, we were lucky enough to catch up with Heimana before the big games to get the lowdown on what skateboard gear he’ll be riding in Tokyo.

Second place pro bowl winner Heimana Reynolds not only placed on the podium in his first Dew Tour competition, but also qualified for the Cobblestone Classic surf contest days before. Unphased by this year’s upscale bowl, the Hawaiian native shredded the nine-in-a-half foot concrete wave shirtless all weekend long soaking in cosmic rays and good vibes.
