Jenkem welcomes to Neighborhoods, their new series where we revisit skaters’ old stomping grounds to see what the streets and spots can reveal to us about their early lives and maybe even their current selves. For the first episode, Jenkem visited Manhattan’s Upper West Side with Eli Morgan Gesner of Zoo York and SHUT fame. The neighborhood has undergone a lot of changes since its heyday in the ’90s when Eli was growing up there, right when it was the setting for popular sitcoms like Seinfeld and Friends.

Ducky Kovacs is a California native who has been living in the SF Bay Area for some time now. As we all know, SF is known for its hilly streets so you never know when you might be in a pinch for some quick pain relief after getting speed wobbles on a hill bomb or need a hygiene check after stepping in human poop.
