The Making of Moat Water Beer and Skateboard Decks
On Saturday, January 19th, 2012 at 6pm, we held the Moat Water 20 Year Anniversary Deck Release Party at SPoT Ybor (R.I.P.) and The Bricks. These boards were created through a unique partnership involving Tampa, Florida natives Cigar City Brewing, Skatepark of Tampa, and PS Stix, along with a graphic designed by skateboarding legend Lance Mountain. The center ply was brewed in the aging process to produce SPoT’s exclusive 20th Anniversary beer, “Moat Water,” prior to PS Stix inserting it into these decks. It’s a collaboration that represents quality, a vested interest in the Tampa community, and most importantly, the love of skateboarding. Check the full story in this video. We had 50 of these available for purchase at the Release Party with a limit of one per customer and they sold out quickly.

Old Man Bowl Jam 2018 – Skatepark of Tampa
The 2018 Old Man Bowl Jam went down last weekend and it was an event to be remembered. All of Spot’s local and out of town favorite old folks showed up and threw down hours of sweat filled runs. These all ages contests are why we love skateboarding. There’s no money for first place, no trips, nothing but some free product and a trophy…yet these kids come out and rip their hardest each time.
