Tom Shcaar is Pro for Element Skateboards
Tom Schaar is pro!!! At only 18, Tom Schaar is already one of Element’s longest tenured skate team members. As a youth superstar, Tom gained global skateboarding notoriety for being the youngest ever skateboarder to complete a 900 on vert, the first ever to complete a 1080, youngest X Games gold medalist, youngest Dew Tour and Vans Pool Party champions, and even made an appearance on the popular US talk show, “Ellen”. Recently, Tom has dropped the pads and began to conquer cement as an incredible bowl skater. Contest wins aside, in the last year he’s been featured with an interview in Thrasher and released a 3 minute solo part on ThrasherMagazine.com. 2018 will be a big year for Tom with a part in the Element video, “Peace”, competition on the Vans Skate Park Series, and preparation for Olympic qualifying.
Best of Pro Bowl | Dew Tour Long Beach 2017

Two phenomenal bowl skaters Tom Schaar and Trey Wood are closely examined in our second installment of Head 2 Head. Previously we looked at Curren Caples and Trey Wood as they hucked frontside bonlesses in our bowl at Dew Tour Long Beach 2016. This year as we increased our bowl size and exclusively invited 25 of the best bowl skaters, which made for a perfect storm for some good hard skating.

Stop 5 of the 2017 Vans Park Series was back on the hot sands of Huntington Beach. The quality of skating was at an all time high in the custom built skatepark lead by young gun Tom Schaar who stamped his name into first place on the event. Ben Hatchell was back and better than ever with a mind blowing run that put him in 2nd place while CJ Collins came in at 3rd place with a ru that no 14 year old should be doing!

Vans Park Series Vancouver Highlights | 2017 Vans Park Series
Vans returned to the legendary Hastings Park in Vancouver, Canada for the 4th stop of the 2017 Vans Park Series. Every contest seems to get better, and this year Canada was no different. This was Pedro Barros first contest on Canadian soil, and he didn’t disappoint the rabid skate fans of Vancouver. The skating was next level, and everyone was putting together video part tricks in their contest runs, but at the end it was Tom Schaar 3rd, Karl Berglind 2nd, and Pedro Barros 1st, claiming his second win of 2017.
