Once again, it came down to the last runs in the Finals where Maurio McCoy was holding the lead. Jake Ilardi had the slight benefit of going last in the Finals from his clean sweep of the Semi-Finals and Qualifiers where he had just placed first in both. On Jake’s third and final run, also the last run of the day, he put it down and edged out Maurio for the win at this stop.

Nyjah Huston, Curren Caples & More Throw Down at Red Bull Hart Lines 2016

Snow flurries fell from the Detroit sky above Hart Plaza, and with thousands hanging over the walls of the Hart Lines course, they witnessed a level of street skateboarding beyond anything expected. Nyjah Huston, skating at the event for the first time in 2016, put on a technical masterclass over the two-lane course. He’ll take the trophy and a clean $35,000 back to California for his efforts. Last year’s defending champ, Curren Caples, flew through the course on pace for his second-place finish, and the Belgian blur Axel Cruysberghs came in third.
