To release the Alexis Sablone One Star Pro, Alexis has directed a donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. The contribution is part of Converse’s four-year commitment to support Black communities.
On the importance of the donation as she releases her latest signature shoe, Alexis says:
“This project was conceived of months ago, but with all of the changes we’ve been experiencing, it feels like a lifetime. I originally thought I might be wearing these in Tokyo next month—I looked forward to that as a potentially life-changing moment for me. But today, as people from coast to coast stand up together for equality, to end racism and make this country a better place, it feels like a life changing moment for us all”. – Alexis
