Donnie Mortensen, a skater from Colorado turned dirt mounds and grassy hills into spots just by throwing huge tires on his regular board. Not only are some of the tricks pretty mindblowing in their own right, but it also captures one of the most important aspects of skateboarding: going out with your friends and doing the dumbest things possible. – JENKEM
A Quick Coffee Run in Sheffield with Shaun Currie – JENKEM
Shaun is a jolly skater from the UK. JENKEM was only able to film with him for an hour or two but decided to throw it together into a mini bite-sized segment anyway to put people onto his heartwarming personality and playful skating. Hopefully JENKEM will visit him again soon and get a full Hanging Out With on our next try.
Shop Talk at Plush Skate Shop Grand Opening in New Haven, CT – JENKEM
JENKEM took the drive up to New Haven, CT to the grand opening of Alexis Sablone and Trevor Thompson’s new shop, Plush. JENKEM hung out and got to see what their neighbors across the way are feeling and what they’re not vibing with at all.

Helsinki, Finland With Marius Syvanen | Neighborhoods – JENEKM
JENKEM took a flight to Helsinki, Finland to meet up with their friend and Finnish-born pro, Marius Syvanen. Since this was JENKEM’s first time exploring the capital of Finland, Marius played the role of tour guide for the day and showed them the ledges that tons of local Fins have skated, filled em in on some fun facts like “Finland has more Saunas than cars,” and even took them to a new spot he’s been itching to skate.
What Went Down at Oski’s New Contest in Malmo, Sweden – JENKEM
Olympian and all around good guy Oskar Rozenberg hosted a contest in Sweden last weekend dubbed the Oski Blast. This new contest was filled with numerous “challenges” where a bunch of Oski’s closest homies skated in a jam style event for all the locals to come and check out. It’s a perfect cap off to a summer that hopefully will become an annual tradition.
Shop Talk: Lurking Around Huntington Beach – JENKEM
Rather than stick around and watch every second of skating at the Vans Showdown in Huntington Beach, JENKEM decided to lurk around the boardwalk and talk to the locals and see what they were up to amongst all the hubbub.
Parts with Gifted Hater – JENKEM
Gifted Hater, aka Joa Fields, joins JENKEM to share some early skate video memories and his thoughts on T-Pud’s fits. Since he is known for his ability to over-analyze and shit talk all things skateboarding, including videos, it was nice to hear some positivity flowing through his microphone.
VICE’s Taji Ameen Revisits His Skate Past – JENKEM
Over the past few years, Taji’s work with VICE and the upper echelons of New York Media took him away from his skateboarding past a little bit. We wanted to have him reconnect with skating and reminisce on those early days, so JENKEM met up with him and his old friend Billy to skate, catch up, and freestyle a little bit.
Ground Glass: Aaron Herrington – JENKEM
Not every skater can just casually flow through the streets of New York City and clock some tasteful clips in a quick fashion, but Aaron Herrington has definitely made a career out of it. Settle in and get ready to watch some ultra-crispy skating caught on technology invented in 1923, and keep an eye out for more “Ground Glass” features from James on JENKEM.
JENKEM – We Tried Foods from Iconic Skate Videos
It’s always amazing how the tiniest details from skate videos can get permanently fried into your brain. To this day, I sing “eat that shrimp” every single time I’m eating shrimp, and I can’t pour myself a glass of juice without swigging it around in the jug like Terry Kennedy in Baker 3. Little moments like this got us thinking about all the other unconventional food clips that have made it into skate videos over the years, and we were itching to try some of them for ourselves. – JENKEM
JENKEM PREMIERE: Myles Willard’s “Myles and The Machine” Part
Treat yourself to Myles’ tasteful skating, Ed Templeton’s artistic and comedic input, Don Luong’s video work, and clips from the rest of the Toy crew. By the looks of this video, it seems the fresh faces on Toy are injecting some new life into the brand. – JENKEM
