Flare Canada – Lakai
The Lakai crew took off to Montreal, Quebec for a week of skating and exploring. The city was beautiful and the people were as welcoming as could be. Lakai spent the week skating spots around the city, kicking it at the local diy and trying to find the best poutine. The trip ended at the Empire Open, one of the biggest events and contest of the year. Good times and heavy revs were had, and we came up with this tour video featuring Cody, Yonnie, Manchild, Capps, and Ty Peterson.

Vincent Alvarez’s long anticipated new pro model shoe, the Lakai Atlantic, makes its debut. Featuring an all new upper on our updated XLK performance cupsole technology. Lakai x Baker Riley Hawk Collection
Riley came to Lakai after the launch of his Dad’s shoe, inspired by the commercial that Tony and Manchild had created. He wanted to do something similar, a conceptual commercial with a collection to match. Riley decided to create an 80’s Dogtown vibe with the shoes, apparel, and commercial. Baker was down to make it a co-branded project, and the rest is history.
Cody Chapman for the Newport Hi – LAKAI
Cody Chapman comes correct with his team edition Newport Hi Colorway and Cold Dawg Pack. Cody moved to Los Angeles 6 months ago and has stayed busy in the streets. When deciding what to shoot for his newest ad, he decided to take it back home to Santa Cruz, CA right down by the beach. The Fremont Vulc by Yonnie Cruz – LAKAI
When it came time for Yonnie to design a team edition shoe, he decided to put his own spin on an existing model that he already loved to skate, the Fremont. Yonnie updated and colored the Fremont upper and put it on our PARA-MOUNT™ outsole with DELUX-LITE™ footbeds and custom insole artwork. La Flareto Rico Tour – LAKAI
Puerto Rico is an amazing place with great people, food, beaches, and an abundance of skate spots. Yonnie Cruz’s family lives there, so with him as our guide we covered a lot of miles up, down, and across the island. Lakai Japan Tour 2018
Lakai headed to Tokyo, Japan for the launch of Tony Hawk’s inaugural Lakai shoe, The Proto. With an all-star line up in an incredible destination, the stoke was at an all time high. People came from all over Japan to be some of the first to get their hands on a pair of Tony Hawk signature Lakai’s and to meet the crew.

Tony Hawk Does 100 BLUNTS In His Lakai Proto Shoe
When CCS texted Tony Hawk about doing 100 of a trick in his Lakai shoe, on VERT, he made sure to let them know that meant he had to hit almost 200 walls of his ramp in one session. Not skating vert, we didn’t really know what this meant. Apparently it’s like running a marathon just to hit 12 walls in one run, so it was a tall order. Thankfully, Tony is as pro as he was at 14 and banged them out for us with a smile! We couldn’t be more stoked to see the legend in one of CCS’s wear tests! Lakai Oceanside Demo
