Has there ever been a more important person to a single sport than Rodney Mullen is to skateboarding? I mean, think about it. Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Tiger Woods…they are all the greats of their sport…but they didn’t invent basically the entire f*ckin’ sport! Happy 60th Birthday to the man, the myth, the legend…the Godfather, Rodney Mullen. The person who single handedly invented street skateboarding as we know it today. There are no amount of words we could find to express our gratitude to this man. Long before many of us played his character in THPS (Tony Hawk Pro Skater) Rodney was in the streets pioneering what we know as street skating. Do you skate, or have you skated? Well, whether you know it or not, Rodney is probably the reason why. He invented the street Ollie, the Kickflip, the 360 flip, the Heelflip, the Impossible, the Primo Slide, the Casper Slide and the Darkslide, just to name a few. Thank you SO much, Rodney, we love you. We dug deep into the contacts list to ask a few friends to send their gratitude and thanks to the GOAT, Rodney Mullen. – STORIED

In “Paul Rodriguez & Chris Roberts I Used To Skate”, we take a stroll through other-worldly, Venice Beach, CA in search of skaters…and used to skaters. And neither were hard to find. Our hosts, Paul Rodriguez and Chris Roberts of the famed “The Nine Club”, take us on a stroll down the Venice storefront sidewalk path for some kickflips, some heel flips, some bigspins, some slams and a lot of Chris’. But first, they break down why we are shooting this episode. The Answer? To celebrate not only GSD “International Go Skateboarding Day 2026” but also “Paul Rodriguez Day” in Los Angeles.
