Roaring crowds filled the legendary Combi Pool arena as the 2017 Vans Pool Party capped off another dramatic skateboarding showdown. In the pros division, 2017 champion Tom Schaar’s domination of the Combi Pool shows no signs of slowing down, as he flowed through the course with undeniable precision to earn his second Vans Pool Party championship. Fellow ripper Cory Juneau wasn’t far behind, executing his smooth lines throughout the bowl to place 2nd, while 3rd place winner and arguably one of the most exciting skaters to watch, Clay Kreiner presented a truly memorable performance, heavily amplified by his fearless attempts at landing a massive heelflip frontside air over the channel into the round bowl.

Tom Schaar’s 1st Place Run | Vans Park Series: Sydney

Twenty of the worlds most talented park terrain skaters battled it out in Sydney at the first stop of the Vans Park Series. 17 year old perfectionist, Tom Schaar, ollied into the bowl with eyes dead set on the podium and didn’t let up for a single trick. Pro Highlights 2016 | Pool Party | Vans

The 2016 Vans Pool Party Pro Division raised the bar once again. Combi vets Bucky Lasek and Josh Borden brought every trick they had. Chris Russell, Trey Wood, Cory Juneau, defending champ Tom Schaar, and the other young rippers were charging for the win. But it was Vans Pool Party past winner Pedro Barros that put together speed, technical moves, and of course big airs to take the win. Watch the full highlights.

Monster Energy – #BOWLZILLA Chile

The Monster Energy skate team traveled down South for the 1st ever #BOWLZILLA event in Chile. The Bowlzilla crew laid down a new concrete bowl just for the big weekend. The event saw legends like Tony Hawk , Steve Caballero , and Kevin Staab competing in the masters category, while on the pro side there was a HUGE turnout with over 30 pros in the mix for the win. In the end Murilo Peres took home the biggest check with Monster Energy’s Tom Schaar grabbing the second spot. The Chilean fans kept the energy high all day, and everyone agreed they were looking forward to coming back next year.
