RAW TAPES: Swampfest 2024 – JENKEM
If you search for Florida Man headlines in the world of skateboarding you’ll return with one thing. Swampfest. Yeah, we know you’ve probably seen the footage already. Quick news flash, we’re late, but hell, we didn’t even know we were going to go.
We considered letting our footage dump lay to rest, especially since this is mainly a BMX event, but when you see the amalgamation of a redneck civil war reenactment and Woodstock 99, full of muddy slams, mortar close calls, a lot of fire, and unorganized mayhem, it’s hard not to share. – JENKEM

COLT BOWDEN TOON SERIES – TOY MACHINE SKATEBOARDS
One of the coolest things about doing a skateboard company is all of the dynamic and creative people I get to work with. I met Colt Bowden as a young skateboarder and we sponsored him as an amateur on Toy Machine back in 2004. And although he didn’t end up going pro for us, we always kept in contact and it’s been amazing to watch him build a family and become an amazing artist. Whether it’s building and restoring vintage cars, sign painting, making zines, or doing skateboard graphics, he has found a path to a successful creative life, and I’m happy we get to work with him twenty years on! – Ed Templeton
