If you aren’t familiar with Sal, he’s a pioneer from the 80s and 90s who has his own trick (The Sal Flip) and is credited for being the first person to kickflip boardslide a handrail. His shoe, the Etnies Sal 23 is one of the most recognized and iconic skate shoe silhouettes. Despite all this rich history, we barely know anything about the guy, so Jenkem met him in his hometown to fill in the gaps.
