When CCS texted Tony Hawk about doing 100 of a trick in his Lakai shoe, on VERT, he made sure to let them know that meant he had to hit almost 200 walls of his ramp in one session. Not skating vert, we didn’t really know what this meant. Apparently it’s like running a marathon just to hit 12 walls in one run, so it was a tall order. Thankfully, Tony is as pro as he was at 14 and banged them out for us with a smile! We couldn’t be more stoked to see the legend in one of CCS’s wear tests! Ryan Sheckler gives Dashawn Jordan one minute to land a Laser Flip over the Van’s gap for $50 dollars during the SLS Huntington Beach stop.
Mitchie Brusco is the only skateboarder to have landed a 1080 on a full-sized MegaRamp in competition. That trick, plus a backside flip Indy over the 50-foot gap, is what it took Brusco to finally win his first gold medal after 11 X Games appearances.
At the 2018 Hot Wheels Junior Open, Gavin Bottger got loose in The Junction with a GoPro Hero 7. Gavo, along with Lazer Crawford, Roman Hager, Nobacel Villalobos, Toby Ryan, and Koston Eaton had a blast practicing their runs for the contest and ripping some good old fashioned party lines.
When a sesh sparks up at OB’s newly dubbed “Shockus Park,” it’s always a spectacle. Clive, Lefty, Omar, Dressen, Townley, Kremer – heavy crew!
