X Games commentators Brandon Graham and Craig McMorris break down the style highlights of certain X Games competitors in 2018.
This year at RVCALOHA marked the first ever “Matty’s Patty’s” event at Banzai Skatepark on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Chef Matty Matheson hosted this inaugural event with RVCA founder, PM Tenore. Despite the rain, Chef Matty dialed in 300 burger patties to create 150 double cheeseburgers complete with local Oahu wild boar bacon, American cheese, and what Matty considers one of the greatest condiments ever, (Mustard, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, and Pickles). It was easily one of the greatest burgers of all time.
After coming short of the gold the previous two years, the king of X Games Skateboard Street had fans wondering if his reign as No. 1 was over. The nollie heelflip frontside noseblunt slide that capped his gold-medal-winning run in Minneapolis put those doubts to rest.

When CCS texted Tony Hawk about doing 100 of a trick in his Lakai shoe, on VERT, he made sure to let them know that meant he had to hit almost 200 walls of his ramp in one session. Not skating vert, we didn’t really know what this meant. Apparently it’s like running a marathon just to hit 12 walls in one run, so it was a tall order. Thankfully, Tony is as pro as he was at 14 and banged them out for us with a smile! We couldn’t be more stoked to see the legend in one of CCS’s wear tests!
