David Gravette: A Boy And His Flat Bar

David Gravette got his first flat bar from an old CCS catalog almost 20 years ago and used that thing to learn what it takes to become one of the gnarliest rail skaters of all time. That may sound like a claim, but it’s really not. David can sit on a rail with a certain kind of confidence that only comes from thousands of hours of flat bar sessions. Funny enough, all of those sessions were on that old CCS rail. Fast forward nearly two decades and David is the newest edition to the CCS team, so we thought it was fitting to take that old, rusty flat bar out of retirement and drag it around the city to see what kind of shit we could get in to. Luckily for us there was plenty of shit. We’re stoked to have David as part of the crew at CCS!

CCS Welcomes David Gravette

David Gravette showed up in the skateboard world as a wispy little boy who jumped on the biggest rails you’d ever seen. Since then David has grown in to one of the most recognizable pros in our industry, and in between all the rails, kinks and backflips (yeah, backflips…), David has managed to leave his mark on a few contests and has become one of the household names over at Creature Skateboards. Now CCS welcomes him to their Pro Team!!!

Gage Seal Memorial Skate Jam

In memoriam for Gage Seal, an avid skateboarder killed last year, friends and family gathered at the Audie Murphy Skatepark in Menifee, California for fun, food and ripping skateboarding to raise money for a Gage Seal Memorial Skatepark. Local skaters Jordan Hoffart, Taylor Bingaman, Taylor McClung, David Gravette and Ryan Alvero came to skate and show their support.
