Best of Heimana Reynolds | Dew Tour Long Beach 2017

Second place pro bowl winner Heimana Reynolds not only placed on the podium in his first Dew Tour competition, but also qualified for the Cobblestone Classic surf contest days before. Unphased by this year’s upscale bowl, the Hawaiian native shredded the nine-in-a-half foot concrete wave shirtless all weekend long soaking in cosmic rays and good vibes. Best of Kelvin Hoefler | Dew Tour Long Beach 2017

Kelvin Hoefler is no stranger to Dew Tour podiums, winning his first competition back in 2015 and continued his winning streak with two back-to-back victories. This year in Long Beach Kelvin proved to have the stamina to skate all three courses and make into the modified gap course final. Kelvin fended off top competitors Shane O’Neill, Nyjah Huston, and Yuto Horigome, but in the end Kelvin’s Cab back tail down the Stanley rail won judges over. Best of Am Street | Dew Tour Long Beach 2017

Best of Nyjah Huston | Dew Tour Long Beach 2017

One of Dew Tour’s top competitors, Nyjah Huston proved to have the endurance to make it through the tech, rail, and gaps course and make it onto the final modified gaps course. In the final 8-minute heat Nyjah was up against Kelvin Hoefler, Yuto Horigome, Shane O’Neill, Micky Papa, and Tommy Fynn. In the end, Nyjah took home second place. Two phenomenal bowl skaters Tom Schaar and Trey Wood are closely examined in our second installment of Head 2 Head. Previously we looked at Curren Caples and Trey Wood as they hucked frontside bonlesses in our bowl at Dew Tour Long Beach 2016.
