ELEMENT MAKE IT COUNT SOUTH AFRICA

One of the raddest things about the Element Make It Count Contest series is that there are contests all over the world, in search of the next undiscovered skate talent. This last week we held an event in South Africa. The level of skating out there is insane, and we had a great turnout with rippers showing up from far and wide. At the end of the day, it was obvious that one dude stood out among the rest; Allan Adams won himself an all expenses paid trip to Barcelona to skate street with the Element Team, and film a video part!

If the Element Make It Count contest series didn’t make it to your town this year you can still enter to win a trip to your regional finals, and a shot at an all expenses paid trip to Barcelona by entering the Wild Card video submission! Submit up to one minute of your best footage -one skater only- in the streets or at a park. The Berrics and Element will decide the overall winners of the contest. All submissions must be made by 11:59PM June 5th, 2016 PST to be considered. Top 10 submissions will receive a box of Element Product, and be featured in a user submitted “Element Wild Card” edit on the Berrics. While new building developments and perfect spots pop up seemingly every day, there is no doubt Europe remains the Mecca of skateboarding, Barcelona being the dream destination for most everyone. Visitors flock to the warm weather, legendary spots and witness endless talent. This combination seems to push the native Europeans in another direction, uncovering gems all over the continent while traversing through the different climates. They all seem to have a unique style and are incredibly versatile. Jarne Verbruggen and Jacopo Carozzi are prime examples as seen in this final episode of New World Element. The Element Perspective – FOS

The iconic handstyle and imaginative creatures by FOS are featured as the latest edition to the ongoing Element Perspective collection. Classically trained and wildly imaginative, FOS is renown for his commercial contributions to Altamont, Heroin Skateboards and a myriad of others; while also building an expanding portfolio of realistic drawings, sketches and paintings. For the “Sprites” series FOS twists the Element team into a pack of devious pixies creating a polyptych inspired by Brandon Westgate, Evan Smith, Nyjah Huston, Mark Appleyard and Greyson Fletcher.
