As the Splinter deadline loomed, Girl hit the road for one last filming trip. Torrance to Nashville, Indy to Cincy, Pittsburgh to Annapolis, the drive pushed on. Demos, signings, park openings. Friends, birthdays, and a whole lot of miles.

One more lap around the map. Where’d we go? Neverywhere. Featuring Simon Bannerot, Niels Bennett, Mike Carroll, Griffin Gass, Breana Geering, Rick Howard, Cory Kennedy, Sean Malto, Tyler Pacheco, Evan Smith and Matteo Vandeputte.

The Ed Templeton OG Doll for Girl x Modernica

One thing skateboarders agree on are the handful of legends who have left an indelible mark in skateboarding and art making. Girl is proud to announce that four of those heavies have graciously contributed their time and creativity to Volume 2 of the #ModernicaxGirl project.

Each doll is hand constructed of 15 layers of maple ply wood. The top layer of the doll features artwork embedded inside fiberglass and beveled to create a smooth round edges. The doll is finished with a custom wood branding stamp featuring both the @Modernica & Girl Skateboards logos. The doll measures approximately 22″ x 11″ Available HERE.

Girl Skateboards “GRL-NYC-GMV”

Last fall Simon Bannerot, Tyler Pacheco, Griffin Gass, Niels Bennett, Cory Kennedy, Rick Howard, Andrew Brophy and Rick McCrank embarked on an east coast road trip to meet Girl’s Skate Shop Day Craffle Winner, Weston Nichols in Richmond, Virginia. Starting out in New York, they drove down through Baltimore and Washington, D.C., before making it to Texas Beach DIY in Richmond for a great day with Weston and the Richmond locals.
