Lakai in San Francisco for the Cambridge

Lakai teamed up with their friend, OG professional skateboarder Jovontae Turner, and created a shoe with his ideas and input. Being an innovator of style and footwear in skateboarding, we felt that Jovontae should have a shoe with his own twist on it, that matches his stylish aesthetic on and off the board. What better way to celebrate than to grab Carroll, Tae, and the crew and head back to the place where it all began.

Gone Swimming with Simon Bannerot – Lakai

In the summer of 2017, Simon was in a terrible car accident resulting in a shattered pelvis and multiple fractures throughout his body. What would have put some people out for years didn’t even set Simon back an entire year. 10 months later and he is back on an absolute terror. Hard Luck Mfg. is a bearing company represented by a crew of skaters led by Jason Jesse, that all share a passion for skating, riding motorcycles, surfing, hauling ass and “eating shit”. Lakai and Hard Luck Professional Riley Hawk embodies that mentality to the core. The idea behind this project revolved around Riley and his appetite for destruction.
