Kelly Bird & Nicole Hause Skate Venice – REAL Skateboards
REAL really wanted to re-issue this classic Kelly Bird graphic, but there was only one problem… they couldn’t find the original art! Turns out it’s also one of the few pro boards that Kelly did not have in his personal collection. Lucky for us Michael Sieben from Thrasher was able to track one down in his mom’s garage that he had skated back in the day and shipped it over for a graphic and shape trace. REAL recreated the art and the exact original 90’s 7.43” shape, then sent Kelly and Nicole down to the Venice ledge to have some fun with em.

Real Skateboards: Dude, You’re Wasting Tape | Red Bull No Rewind
The Real Team tackled terrain varying from front yards, back alleys, school zones, college quads, to Tony Hawk’s Million Dollar private vert ramp for their Red Bull No Rewind video entry. They’re known for leaving spots in shambles, and this edit is right in step with what you’d expect from this eclectic squad. Proper shout out to Jesus Fernandez in there as well. These Are The Days: Nicole & Jimmy’s new REAL Ad
On an unusually scorching hot and sunny Southern California day, Nicole Hause and Jimmy Wilkins hopped in the van with only one goal for the day… Shoot the new REAL Ad. With Matt Price behind the fisheye and an empty skatepark, Jimbo and Dicky made quick work of it, taking turns with the over/under doubles routine and scoring the pages of the mag.
Check out the footage from the session and some behind-the-scenes photos, along with the final Ad from the Feb ’23 Issue of Thrasher.
Dan Mancina /// NWABA – adidas Skateboarding
adidas had the honor to team up with the North West Association for Blind Athletes to throw a unique skateboarding experience for the kids, teaching the fundamentals of skateboarding to the visually impared, hosted by Dan Manica in Portland. Speacial thanks to Dan Mancina, Dennis Busenitz, Silas Baxter-Neal, John Perez and Sam Narvaez for help with teaching and Real Skateboards and Protec for providing the gear.
NICOLE HAUSE IS PRO! – REAL SKATEBOARDS
This was one for the book… Nicole’s family, friends and the REAL Team surprised her at the premiere for her new REAL Video Part (coming soon) at the Skate Like A Girl WOF11 Welcome to Town party. She had no idea what was happening and the moment was beyond amazing.
Spend a day at 3rd & Army in SF with Dennis Busenitz and Hermann Stene
Watching Dennis skate 3rd & Army is something you’ll never forget. Throw Hermann in the mix too and you know the session is going to be completely bonkers. The two of them spent a day at the classic SF spot recently and REAL was lucky enough to get the whole thing on film for your, and our, enjoyment. Time to start planning your next SF pilgrimage folks!
MLA Guest Artist Deck for Mason Silva
Mason’s good friend Graham hooked up a fantastic guest artist board for him. Mason was super stoked about it so REAL Skateboards thought it would be fun to have him drop off the final product in person at Graham’s studio in Downtown LA and learn a little bit more about their friendship and the process behind the art!
Shit just got REAL! Jimmy Wilkins is in the Van!
It’s official… Jimmy Wilkins is in the REAL van! How do you surprise someone who knows they’re getting on the team? Well, secretly getting Chris Miller to do the art for their first pro boards and having Tony Hawk help with the reveal is a good place to start! Such an amazing moment to share with some of Jimmy’s closest friends. Welcome to the team Jimmy.
Chima Ferguson : A REAL Short Part
