New Brunswick Demo: Vans Skate Team | Skate | VANS

The skate roots run deep in New Brunswick, NJ, dating all the way back to Tom Groholski’s legendary ramp & Mike V’s Public Domain part in the 80s. We were honored to be able to work with the city and NJ Skateshop to christen NB’s first skate park a week before the official grand opening. The Jersey skate scene has always been one of the strongest in the country and the outpouring of love and support from both City Hall and the skaters from all across the state made the already blistering hot demo a bit more warm and fuzzy.

“Why, oh, why, oh, did we ever leave Ohio?” Our filmer and Ohio legend, Cody Green, returns to his local park with honorary-Ohioan Jason Dill & up and coming Buckeye, Justin Henry, for a hot and steamy homecoming demo at Lakewood Skatepark for Westside Skateshop. With temperatures well over 100-degrees we’re still not sure how the hell Tyson Peterson was able to annihilate the demo in a fleece sweatshirt without melting? Guess you just don’t break a sweat if you grew up in Florida…

Chicago Demo: Vans Skate Team | Skate | VANS

The Vans Skate Team set off the first stop of the Summer 2016 Vans Pro Skate Tour with a heavy session for legendary Uprise Skateshop on “Chicago’s front yard” at Grant Park. Johnny Layton sparked things up to prove, in the words of Thrasher Magazine’s Michael Burnett, “God damn right he’s still got it.” From there, our crew systemically dismantled the park with a barrage of bangers for the delight of a rabid crowd of Chi-Town locals, out-of-towners and even Corey Glick’s grandparents. Next stop, Westside Skateshop in Lakewood, Ohio.
