2016 Vans Pro Skate Park Series Championship – Malmö Part 3
For Vans Park Series, Skate Malmö are collaborating with Phil Evans in producing ‘The Road to Malmö, a series of films highlighting different aspects of Malmö as a city for skateboarding. From the skaters, to the spots, to the collaboration between the City and Bryggeriet. In Part 3 we see how the city of Malmö is working to grow skateboarding in and around the city.
New Brunswick Demo: Vans Skate Team | Skate | VANS
The skate roots run deep in New Brunswick, NJ, dating all the way back to Tom Groholski’s legendary ramp & Mike V’s Public Domain part in the 80s. We were honored to be able to work with the city and NJ Skateshop to christen NB’s first skate park a week before the official grand opening. The Jersey skate scene has always been one of the strongest in the country and the outpouring of love and support from both City Hall and the skaters from all across the state made the already blistering hot demo a bit more warm and fuzzy.

Chicago Demo: Vans Skate Team | Skate | VANS
The Vans Skate Team set off the first stop of the Summer 2016 Vans Pro Skate Tour with a heavy session for legendary Uprise Skateshop on “Chicago’s front yard” at Grant Park. Johnny Layton sparked things up to prove, in the words of Thrasher Magazine’s Michael Burnett, “God damn right he’s still got it.” From there, our crew systemically dismantled the park with a barrage of bangers for the delight of a rabid crowd of Chi-Town locals, out-of-towners and even Corey Glick’s grandparents. Next stop, Westside Skateshop in Lakewood, Ohio.
