Blake Johnson Visits Home: CRUZIN’ VENICE | Santa Cruz Skateboards

Link up with Santa Cruz Pro Blake Johnson in his hometown of Venice, CA while he was visiting us from Spain this year. Although Blake resides in Barcelona now, his Venice roots will always run deep. In this installment of ‘CRUZIN’, Blake shows us Venice through the eyes of a local, touching on the legendary skatepark, the best local eats, and all of the rad spots Venice has tucked away that have been home to clips of legends like Emmanuel Guzman, Andrew Reynolds, Natas Kaupas and more. Blake also raps about the similarities between Barcelona and Venice, what has changed since he has moved, and what he looks forward to most anytime he comes back home to the West Coast.

Made In Venice Movie – 90 second trailer

MADE IN VENICE takes you on a rippin’, shreddin’ ride with the skateboarders of Venice, from “raising hell” on the beach in their teens to turning pro in the 80s and putting “street skating” on the global map. But their biggest challenge of all wasn’t becoming skateboarding legends, it was about getting what they dreamed of, and really wanted… a skatepark on Venice Beach for the community and the pro skaters of tomorrow.
