Emmanuel Guzman is a classic skateboarder. He has been giving blood, sweat, and tears to professional skateboarding for the last 15 years and it truly shows in everything he does. In this Raw & Uncut you get a glimpse of what makes Eman the legendary skater that we know and love. The great trick selection and the land or slam attitude are a big part of what sets him apart. Get into the van with the Santa Cruz Skateboards team as they rip Bueno’s Aires filming for our new TIL THE END projects. Right before the pandemic started the team made their way down to Argentina for the annual Bowl In Connection contest. The trip featured Jake Wooten, Erick Winkowski, Emmanuel Guzman, Fabiana Delfino, Henry Gartland, Jereme Knibbs and Maurio McCoy. This year, we extended the trip to take advantage of all the amazing street spots Buenos Aires has to offer. This is an in depth look at what it’s like to be on the Santa Cruz Team and travel with your friends in the name of skateboarding. These are the trips we will never forget.

Taylor Kirby | Red Bull SŌLUS Entry

Taylor Kirby’s entry for Red Bull’s new digital skateboarding contest – SŌLUS. With all the skate contests canceled this year, Ryan Sheckler opened the doors to his skatepark and invited 13 of the best skateboarders in the world to battle it out in a new digital skateboarding contest. Each skater has one hour to put together their best 45 second to one minute line alone – no crowd & no other skaters, just a couple camera guys and themselves – SŌLUS. Red Bull’s judges, Jamie Owens, Mike Sinclair, and Kyle Berard, will evaluate each video based on style, progression and creativity. Winner will be announced September 27th. Each skaters entry video will drop every week leading up to the September 27th winner announcement. With skate shops struggling during the global pandemic, the winner will receive $2,500 to donate to a shop of their choice. Following the judges announcement, you will have a chance to vote on your favorite video part and the fan favorite will be announced on September 30th. Vote HERE.

Nike SB | Janoski Flyleather

In December 2019, Stefan Janoski headed to London with Elissa Steamer to check out the new Janoski Flyleather. Meeting with the local crew of Korahn Gayle, Casper Brooker and Kyron Davis, they put the shoe through its paces on the streets of London and checked out the factory where Flyleather is made. Comprised of at least 50% recycled leather fiber from scraps that would otherwise be left on the factory floor, Flyleather is a lightweight alternative to traditional suede that doesn’t sacrifice durability or skateability. Learn more about how Nike’s keeping material out of the landfill and reusing it to build a skate shoe for the future.
