INSIDE THE SKATER’S STUDIO: Eastern Exposure 3 “Underachievers” With Ricky Oyola

It’s been a LONG hiatus for Inside the Skater’s Studio, so Theories of Atlantis is making a comeback with a real doozy. Easily in our top 5 favorite skate videos of all time and clearly one of the very best street-skating videos ever, Eastern Exposure 3 “Underachievers” has been long overdue on the Skater’s Studio. And Ricky Oyola’s part is THE one we all want to hear about. We got Ricky together with another TOA favorite, Paul Zitzer, to dive into the classic part and get some behind the scenes nuggets of how it all came to be. And, as Ricky says, Zitzer’s in it too!

This was filmed literally 5 years ago, right before the world went insane in early 2020. But due to some audio issues during the shoot, it got shelved for years with plans of re-filming. But TOA finally decided it was too good to not put it out and the logistics of having Ricky and Paul Zitzer in the same room together were quite slim. So here it is. Yes, the audio isn’t great, but it’s fine. So sit back and enjoy some stories behind the video that completely changed the game for the east coast of the USA back in 1996.

Josh Douglas Hits Iconic & Hidden Gems in LA | Spot to Spot

Cruise through Covina, just outside East LA, with Josh Douglas and the homies Jack Olson and Christian Dufrene as they mix mellow lines with heavy tricks. For Josh, it always looks too easy. His style is effortless and his attitude always appears to be carefree. The dude is seriously beaming with positivity and has an impressive lightheartedness to the way he carries himself. But his definition of a “rocket” flip is more strict than most, and his desire to do things right shines through in his skating. In the streets, he handles his business.
