After navigating skateboarding’s first Olympic qualifying trials, surviving through a global pandemic, and not to mention battling through an ankle injury, Maurio McCoy has gone through all this and more by keeping his focus clear with a positive mental attitude and coming back stronger than before. While skateboarding wrapped up its postponed debut at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games this past August in 20201, it ensured an eased travel schedule for Maurio. Recently, Dew Tour caught up with the relentless skater as he showed us how he keeps his momentum moving forward at his local park and in the streets with the help of filmer and friend Nick Hansen, along with Santa Cruz teammate Tom Asta.
