Vans is celebrating 50 years by taking House of Vans all around the world all year long. We kicked it off on March 16th at House of Vans Brooklyn in New York with Nas, Skate Team Riders Chima Ferguson, Anthony Van Engelen, Daniel Luther, Steve Caballero, and more, plus Vans Surf Team Riders Dane Reynolds, Nathan Fletcher, and Leila Hurst. Then the crew packed up and flew across the ocean to keep the party going at House of Vans London with Rat Boy, Vans Skate Team Riders Christian Hosoi, Chris Russell and more.

Vans has been a household name in skateboarding since the beginning and they’re still going strong after 50 years. To celebrate their birthday last week, SPoT threw a proper mixer with free skating all day, BBQ, free cake, free waffles, giveaways to the first 50 customers and more.

R.I.P. Love Park
Skateboarding was banned in Philadelphia’s iconic Love Park over 10 years ago. On February 10th, the mayor lifted the ban to honor the park’s skate history one last time before its permanent close on February 15, 2016. These are those final days.

2016 Girls Combi Classic Highlights
A new victor claimed the Vans Girls Combi Classic title on Saturday when 15-year-old Poppy Star from Australia won her first official Pro contest! Poppy has been a rising star over the last few years ever since she dominated the 14 and under division to earn first in the rankings during the 2014 World Cup Skateboarding bowl series. In 2015, she follows suit and finished the year off again as #1 in the 15 and over division.
