It is a tall order for any ordinary skateboarder, but with Joslin’s relentless determination and his Grandmother looking down on him, anything he sets his mind to is possible.

Long Beach, California is a long way from Daytona, Florida, and for Devin Bagnoli the transition has been insane. The motivation to skate is high, says Devin, since pros are everywhere and the level in general is high there is no lack of inspiration to push yourself. “My favorite part about skateboarding is what it does for my brain. It makes me happy at the end of the day.” Lately, Devin has been starting off most days with a session at Silverado Skatepark his new local spot. “It’s got everything you need… it’s just fun stuff.” After Devin warmed up his feet by firing off on his local hips and rails for a few rounds, he hit the streets a few spots along the waterfront and a final clip with a high risk of water-hazard. “Fly-outs forever.”
