CCS celebrated the 27th birthday of Burnside Skatepark on a mysteriously warm Halloween evening among a carnivorous costume combustion of ghouls, goblins, punks, and drunks! The evolution of Burnside continues with the addition of the new concrete death hole and huge quarter pipe. Each year, skaters young and old step to new obstacles and push the limits of what can be done at the park. Through the misty smoke from fireworks, the ear-piercing riffs blasting from punk bands’ amp stacks, and the carcass crashing cross traffic in the park, CCS managed to capture some carnage that went down that day… Watch this video ’cause the bowl troll’s were out for blood at Burnside this Halloween.
Tempe Halloween 2017
“This year, we decided to take it back to how this whole thing started. Over the years our little Halloween session has turned into something bigger than we ever imagined it could be. As fun as it always is, we decided to strip away some of the fluff and do what we did in the beginning. So even though there was no free shit or a gold medal we were happy that everyone came dressed up and ready to shred!” -Brimley Skateboards

The Cage Demolition – EP4 – Build Woodward Presented By Dickies
In this episode of Build Woodward, we’re diving deep into the history of The Cage, a massive wooden skate park built in 1998 at Woodward PA. The Cage was originally designed for a street contest as part of an XGames qualifying event called B3 which was short for “bikes, boards, and blades” and featured BMX, skateboarding, and inline skating. The massive Wooden park was built on top of an old tennis court at camp and its name “The Cage” was inspired by the 12-foot fence that surrounded the area. After almost 20 years, the park has started to deteriorate and keeping it safe to ride each year has become a challenge. Under the guidance of Woodward Brand Manager and skate legend Neal Hendrix and our ramp builder Nate Wessel, the decision was made to tear down The Cage and build a brand-new concrete skate park in its place. In this episode, we pay tribute to the historic Wooden park, take a sneak peek at the design of the new concrete park and then absolutely demolish The Cage.
