Finally, 10 years later, here’s DS4 in it’s entirety. Premiered at RQ Boardshop in October of 2007. Starring Donny Hayn, Mike Ramos, Marisa Dal Santo, Andy “The Deej” Patterson, Pete Clodfelter, Thomas Hawver, and Sam Karafiat, which could very well have been the only video part in history to ever receive an encore at the premiere. Somewhere between 10-12 DVD copies were made and sold at McCormickfest in Chicago, three of which are still known to exist. Filmed and edited by Marisa Dal Santo.

Wes Kremer’s Perfect Day
We’ve all had them, those perfect days. Nothing all that special happens, you know, you wake up feeling fine, sun shining. With no pressing obligations, errands or chores, you go to the room you like chilling in the most, sit there, get a loose idea of what the day will hold; nothing so binding that you’d call it a plan, something more of a framework. Figure you’ll head over to the warm-up spot, some bros show up, and you end up skating all day. Nothing heavy, just tinkering around, skate some nugs, cruise down to the beach. Those days can be the most satisfying—the ones riddled with spontaneity. Here’s a perfect day, with Wes Kremer.

The Detroit skate scene is alive and well, with each new DIY build the skaters put more breathe into the streets of Detroit and give back to any skateboarder who rolls through town. Derrick Dykas, Jeremy Cooper, and Evan Hutchings are just a few of the locals spearheading the DIY movement around Detroit. Derrick say’s it best; “You don’t see football players building their own fields, and raising their own goal posts, the beauty of skateboarding it’s ours” Thank you Levis, this was a very fun project It was a pleasure document these guys give back. – Jason Hernandez
