Nike SB’s second Be True Dunk came in hot and colorful with some unique material choices so CCS thought it would be a good time to put them to the 100 test. They tapped their friend Jerrod La Rue who has impeccable style and phenomenal pop to do 100 heelflips in them at Frogtown park in L.A.
100 Kickflips and 3 Hours in the Adidas Nora – CCS
When CCS team rider Nora Vasconcellos CCS immediately scheduled a wear test with her, but as fate would have it Nora broke her ankle shortly after. So CCS called the entire CCS warehouse off the bench to pinch hit for her! The 2022 CCS Invitational at the Lil Carwash presented by Converse CONS
On August 21st, 2022, some of the most celebrated skateboarders of the past, present, and future converged at CCS headquarters in Portland, Oregon to chop it up and throw it down on a loading-dock-sized recreation of the legendary Sunset Carwash spot and then a slightly used LeBaron convertible.
The tricks poured in fast like soapy water on the premium setting as the masters of ceremonies Frank Gerwer and Elissa Steamer handed out pine-scented air fresheners of cash for their favorite stunts. And it all ended like the Carwash began… with John Cardiel getting us all hyped up.
