The format is as old as time. You find a great sage, and allow the general public to flood them with on how to ease their troubled minds. Then the sage imparts their wisdom and people’s lives are fixed forever. Well our sage is none other than skateboarding legend, Elissa Steamer and CCS’s Instagram followers unloaded all their issues on her for our first episode of “Ask Elissa”! This is all in honor of CCS launching our first line of Elissa’s brand, Gnar Hunters. So learn something from Elissa, and then check out all the rad Gnar Hunters stuff that’s on CCS right now!
CCS stopped by the Nike SB X Diamond Dunk pop up shop in downtown L.A. tonight with Steezus Christ to get all the info on their newest collab. CCS spoke with Diamond head honcho, Nick Tershay about the inspiration behind the shoe as well as pricing and release info at CCS.com. Their gonna go quick so make sure to get there while you can!
If you’re not familiar with Clear Weather, they are a newer footwear brand that created some really unique skate shoes based on the idea of having suede where you need it. Their canvas uppers have a single piece of suede in the spot where you put all the wear on your shoe which gives a unique look and feel to a classic skate silhouette. CCS had their team rider Matt Barnette put their high top shoe, The Jeffrey, to the 100 Kickflip test and it did pretty damn well. Check out our selection of Clear Weather at CCS.com!
If someone like Justin Figueroa puts their name on a shoe, you know it can get the shit beat out of it, so naturally we had to beat it up a little. Kevin and Chris decided to have a battle and see how their respective Kickflips put wear on the Emerica Figgy Dose so they could compare notes at the end. It turns out Chris has a pretty solid Kickflip, but Kevin has the stamina. See who wins then grab a pair at CCS.com!
“No, it’s not a 6 month late April Fool’s joke! We really took mountain bottles and put them on everything… If you’re asking yourself “Why?” right now then clearly this collab is too X-treme for you. If watching this movie makes you thirsty for fuckin adrenalin then you should hit the link below for a most caffeinated offering of Dew decks, cruisers, long sleeves and more!” – CCS. Heavy skateboarding wasn’t the only thing to go down at the annual CCS Portland event last week. Over 30 brands came out and set up games, and activities for the PNW skateboard community. Everything from dunk tanks, to bounce castles, to money rooms were in full swing that day and we sent Kevin on a tour of all of them. Enjoy, and CCS will see you next year!
Today Kevin hands the camera off to his partner in crime and usual Kreation’s filmer, Matt Price. Matt got inspired by the new DC Street Sweeper video and decided to go head to toe 1999 and put some DC re-issues to the test. CCS took requests and made him do flat ground tricks that were way out of his league. It was sweaty.
When CCS heard Supra was throwing a party for Spencer Hamilton’s new shoe only a few hours from them in Vancouver B.C. they dusted off their passports and got their asses up there. Spencer is a mad man and has a beastly flick. He took down 100 with ease and proved that all he needs is an extra shoe lace and he’s good to go.
Congrats Adrian Yeung you’ve WON a Kev’s Kreation by naming it something wildly appropriate… “The Butter Finger” Thanks to everyone that tuned in and commented! Stay tuned for the next episode of Kev’s Kreations thats coming sooner than you think!
Bronson Speed Co. burst onto the skate scene a few years ago and they have proven that they can hang. The bearings go fast and the team goes faster. CCS and Bronson riders, Kader Sylla, David Gravette, and Ben Raybourn hit the parks to give away some bearings and get some tricks on the new Raw’s.
Ever wondered where curbs come from? Since we’re lazy and didn’t feel like making one, or stealing any we decided to buy a couple. Naturally we had Kevin modify some existing cruiser goodness to test it out with. – CCS
It’s summer, get in the car and drive! CCS team rider Ryan Lay hit the road with Jason Salillas to see what they could find to skate up in Colorado. Honestly, the swimming looks even funner than the skating.
