At first glance of the CCS Movement Jeans ad, there are a few things you’d never know. You couldn’t possibly know that Kevin Kowalski took a leaf blower and broom to the spot before rolling in. You almost definitely would never guess that Cody Lockwood stood in to help with the lighting, or that Kevin did it fourth try. But the most impressive and surprising bit of all (and this is totally subjective) is that Kevin made it look chill to slide out of. Ryan Lay’s Welcome Wear Test
We hit the streets with CCS team rider Ryan Lay and some of his friends to test out his newest board from Welcome. Ryan’s new board is called Inferno and it comes on his Stonecipher shape that his last board was on. At 8.6 inches wide and 32.5 inches long the Stonecipher shape feels a lot like an 8.5 popsicle and judging by the way he skates it, you can get it to do anything you need. Mikemo And Vince Capaldi Mailorder Memories
Something rad always happens when we pull out our archive of catalogs from back in the day and look through them with other skateboarders. We showed up to Mikemo and Vince Capaldi’s house in Simi Valley with a box full of catalogs and had them grab some that they remembered from their childhood. It turns out Mikemo found the very issue he ordered his first pair of shoes from and even better than that, he actually had them hiding out in a closet in his room. To think that all that buttery smooth flat ground started in a pair of shoes from a CCS catalog is exactly why we do this shit. We love these stories.

eS and CCS: Two Decades Deep
In the history of skateboarding very, few brands have the type of connection that eS and CCS have. Since eS was founded in 1995 their shoes have graced the pages of the CCS Catalog. Our brand grew with their brand to become two of the most recognizable names in skateboarding. A lot has happened since 1995 and our brands lost each other for a few years, but we’re proud to say that you can find eS shoes at CCS again. We made this video to explain a bit of the history our two brands have together and show you a bit of what’s new from eS. Kev’s Kreations: The Roskopp Ripper
Kev’s Kreations have been building a lot of momentum lately. From Kev’s fans incessantly calling for more Kreations, to being bombarded with countless ideas from CCS’ friends on the internet, Kev’s Kreations are becoming a force to be reckoned with. So much so, CCS sent Kev down to California to meet up with Andrew Cannon – Brand Manager of Santa Cruz and OJ – at the NHS Headquarters and let him kreate! He went with the Roskopp Ripper, a retro slasher ready to thrash any transition.
Jon Nguyen: Behind The Cover
With only one day to skate in Portland, Jon Nguyen knew he needed to get a cover photo for the digital cover, which normally wouldn’t have been so difficult, but it ended up being almost 100 degrees that day. To really make it tough, we took him to a giant chunk of ledge that wasn’t waxed very well. We know he likes a good challenge, (side note: he does not like a good challenge. Jon would much rather sit in the pool and sip on slushies.) so we didn’t care much. After about 30 melting minutes of battling, Jon rolled away from a hefty front blunt and we all had slushies in the pool. Enjoy the battle.

The Killing Floor’s Andrew Gray is a giant ball of explosive energy and creativity packaged neatly inside a small young man. His part in Chris Varcadipane’s Dusted video made our jaws drop so we had to share it with you guys. Combining fluid lines with some truly unique bangers, Andrew is someone you can count on seeing lots of rad stuff from. You may want to watch this one a few times.

Cooper Wilt Grinds 31 Ledges In One Skatepark
Going out skating with no agenda is great. It’s probably the most fun and freeing thing you could ever do. Leave it to our guy Price to turn Cooper Wilt’s fun free skate time in to a damn mission. Luckily for us, Cooper is very accommodating and when Price decided on the challenge of the day, Cooper gladly accepted. Armed with his Almost pro model deck, Cooper Wilt leaves no ledge un-grinded at one of his weirder local parks – he even waxes a fence, just to be safe. Grind everything, and if you feel up to it, start counting too!
