JP’s World | Chocolate Skateboards

Chocolate teamed up with Bay Area artist John Powers McNicholas, a close friend of Raven Tershy, for this latest series. Known for working across various mediums, JP recently showcased his art at Break Free in Oakland, CA.

For this project, he used stencils to create unique boards for Erik, Stevie, Raven, and Vinny. Each deck comes in two sizes, alongside matching apparel that rounds out the collection.

Crailtap Found 200 NOS Richard Mulder Decks from 2001…

When Keenan passed, we set aside all inventory bearing his name – sadness all around. Among these were several dozen board boxes from the City Series 2, labeled Milton. For over 16 years, they remained untouched, until Crailtap recognized they deserved a better home. They belonged among those who cherished Keenan’s spirit – those who shared laughter and admiration alongside him.

Now, as we celebrate 30 Chocolate Years, the moment feels right to share these vintage Richard Mulder decks with the world. This release features new old stock, only 200 available, each screen printed with art by Evan Hecox.

“Hot Chocolate” | Chocolate Skateboards (2004)

21 years ago today, (August 13th, 2003) the crew headed out to SF to begin their month long adventure. Hot Chocolate is a documentary-style tour video that follows the Chocolate Skateboards team as they travel around the US, skating streets, demos, and filming skits. The team is also interviewed before the trip for a sense of anticipation, and after to reflect on the good times had.

The Ed Templeton OG Doll for Girl x Modernica

One thing skateboarders agree on are the handful of legends who have left an indelible mark in skateboarding and art making. Girl is proud to announce that four of those heavies have graciously contributed their time and creativity to Volume 2 of the #ModernicaxGirl project.

Each doll is hand constructed of 15 layers of maple ply wood. The top layer of the doll features artwork embedded inside fiberglass and beveled to create a smooth round edges. The doll is finished with a custom wood branding stamp featuring both the @Modernica & Girl Skateboards logos. The doll measures approximately 22″ x 11″ Available HERE.
