TOA’s newest “Raw Tapes” series is with Tampa, Florida’s Steve Buggica. Steve has been holding down the Tampa skate scene with his VX and death lens for a long time now. Filming for his own “Busted Mic” series, the Shaqueefa videos and assisting with many Hopps, Theories and Magenta projects over the years, he has amassed a hefty archive of Sony mini-DV tapes. Tapes that hold some hidden gems we never got to see and some classics we’re happy to see again. Steve decided to focus specifically on the iconic porch spots, unique to the Tampa area, and it’s amazing he has enough to make full episodes. This episode focuses on Hopps pro, and Tampa native, Dustin Eggeling with a couple cameos including Kevin Coakley. Enjoy!

JAKE TODD RAW TAPES: EPISODE 1 – “THIRD SHIFT”
Thories of Atlantis is kicking off a new raw tapes series with TOA Philly-based filmer Jake Todd. Jake has been helping film and create projects for TOA over the past few years and he has built up quite a catalog of tapes filled with clips from Traffic, Hopps, Dial Tone, Picture Show and Theories riders. So to start with his first Raw Tapes episode, Jake is taking us on some sessions from LA, Philadelphia and Baltimore as seen in Traffics’s most recent video “Third Shift”. STATIC IV RAW TAPES SERIES: EPISODE 2 – Theories of Atlantis
“Episode 2 covers all 5 Boroughs of NYC, even Staten Island and spans between the years of 2010 and 2013. During this time I was filming for both the Static IV project but also wrapping up the “Welcome to MIA” video at the same time. So Brian Delatore and Joel Meinholz were in NYC a little bit and we all filmed together with the Static crew at the same time. The line-up includes: Kevin Tierney, Ted Barrows, Aaron Herrington, Dustin Eggeling, Jahmal Williams, Brian Delatore, Yaje Popson, Quim Cardona, Jimmy Lannon, Brian Clarke, Jahmal Williams and Joel Meinholz. Dustin Eggling was still a pretty young kid in this time frame, and you can really see it in some of his clips. Brian Clarke was a late addition to the Static IV project but his footage is all so solid that he ended up having one of my favorite parts. This episode shows some of the first clips Brian started to get that made me want to include him with his own section. We are all over the place at this time, bouncing over to Staten on the ferry, training up to the Bronx and we even got a little session in at the JFK banks.” – Theories of Atlantis.
STATIC IV RAW TAPES EP 1
Bringing back the Raw Tapes feature to help keep you sane through these wild times. Theories of Atlantis dug deep into Josh Stewart’s DV tape vaults to capture some never before seen clips, second makes and weird moments behind the scenes of filming for Static IV & V between 2007-2014. Episode 1 focuses just within the borough of Manhattan and features a lot of TOA’s favorites from the Static series. TOA will be releasing a new episode weekly so stay tuned and enjoy.
