Jamie Thomas: Behind The Cover

Good artists borrow, great artists steal, and some artists are so epic they can borrow and steal from themselves and the result is just as awesome as it was the first time you saw it. Jamie Thomas had the genius idea to kickflip over his motorcycle 20 years ago in his legendary Welcome To Hell part and we decided that in honor of Zero’s 20th anniversary we should try our hand at recreating that iconic photo for our digital catalog cover. Lucky for us, Tommy Sandoval had the exact same bike, eS just reissued the exact same shoes, and Jamie has the exact same kickflip. Being able to do a trick 20 years after you filmed it for your video part is pretty amazing. Jamie walked us through the process of how it went down for this behind the cover video.
