The Chilean capital Santiago plays host to one of the world’s biggest Go Skateboarding Day celebrations every year.

What started as a protest against the lack of skateparks in the city snowballed until the staggering numbers made the city council understand they had a genuine youth phenomenon on their hands.

First one then many skateparks popped up across the city as a response and soon Santiago became not just a national but a regional draw for skateboarders throughout Latin America.

After a pandemic hiatus Go Skateboarding Day returned to Chile last year and the skate escapade that unravelled broke all records. From the Military School handrail session all the way downtown to Bustamante DIY, hop onboard with an estimated 12,000 like-minded souls as we take you on the biggest Go Skateboarding Day ever recorded. Skate trip through Argentina with No Hotels | SKATE TALES – Red Bull
