The Sheckler Foundation is excited to announce its next Skate for a Cause, this coming Go Skateboarding Day, June 21, 2023. This year they are offering our community 2 fun ways to participate in their family friendly fundraising event. Skaters, family, friends and sponsors are encouraged to create a team to raise funds and awareness of the Sheckler Foundation and their programs that better lives through skateboarding.
MICHAEL MARTINEZ Grant – Presented by Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF)
With support from good friends at Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) and Wasatch Adaptive Sports, Ryan Sheckler had the opportunity to connect with Michael Martinez and gift him a Mountain Trike to allow him to continue to purse his lifelong love of Mountain Biking after surviving a stroke in 2021. Thank you CAF and Wasatch Adaptive Sports for making this happen!
The Sheckler Foundation Presents Its 4th Be the Change Recipient, Hope for Carter
The Sheckler Foundation is proud to announce Hope for Carter as the fourth “Be the Change” recipient. Carter is a 12-year-old boy who suffers from a rare form of Eczema and Asperger syndrome. As one of the finalists, Carter chose to pay it forward by sharing half of his grant with Taylor, a fellow nominee who was involved in an unfortunate accident. This is the first-time in “Be the Change” history that a recipient has shared the financial grant with a fellow nominee.
