Last week, the Sheckler Foundation and Ryan Sheckler celebrated the 11th annual Skate for a Cause on Go Skateboarding Day. Raising over $30K, there were 2 fun ways to participate in the family friendly fundraising event. Skaters, family, friends and sponsors were encouraged to create a team to raise funds and awareness of the Sheckler Foundation and programs that better lives through skateboarding.
MICHAEL MARTINEZ Grant – Presented by Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF)
With support from good friends at Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) and Wasatch Adaptive Sports, Ryan Sheckler had the opportunity to connect with Michael Martinez and gift him a Mountain Trike to allow him to continue to purse his lifelong love of Mountain Biking after surviving a stroke in 2021. Thank you CAF and Wasatch Adaptive Sports for making this happen!
HIGH FIVES GRANT – Presented by etnies and MURF
With the help from Ryan’s friends at etnies and MURF Electric Bikes, the Sheckler Foundation and Sandlot Times had the chance to grant the High Fives Foundation with a $5K grant.

It’s time to hit the road and take the groms on their first adventure on the road! Be careful feeding them sugar for breakfast! On the way to Tahoe, Ryan Sheckler & crew stretched their legs in Sacramento to dropp by to skate and hang with friends in over at Project Lifelong. Project Lifelong were 2019 recipients of a $10K grant on the Sheckler Foundation’s Skate For A Cause Tour.
