One of the new additions to the Vans Clash of the Crews Shop vs. Shop contest this year was an insane Concrete Jam, where each crew picked their best cement chomper to go all out in the courtyard. As usual, things got way crazier than expected.
How Ikeda Daisuke won Tampa AM 2018, 1st place winning run straight to a champagne shower.
The last All Ages contest of the year is always the biggest, as we pay tribute to all you guys and girls that come out and help us kill it for the year. Jake Yanko is going bigger, Nash Barfield is skating like a boss, Jonny Rips is ripping harder than ever, we had one of the best Girls Division turnouts ever, and our second 30+ division left everyone wanting more. Check out some highlights from the day.
On Saturday, January 19th, 2012 at 6pm, we held the Moat Water 20 Year Anniversary Deck Release Party at SPoT Ybor (R.I.P.) and The Bricks. These boards were created through a unique partnership involving Tampa, Florida natives Cigar City Brewing, Skatepark of Tampa, and PS Stix, along with a graphic designed by skateboarding legend Lance Mountain. The center ply was brewed in the aging process to produce SPoT’s exclusive 20th Anniversary beer, “Moat Water,” prior to PS Stix inserting it into these decks. It’s a collaboration that represents quality, a vested interest in the Tampa community, and most importantly, the love of skateboarding. Check the full story in this video. We had 50 of these available for purchase at the Release Party with a limit of one per customer and they sold out quickly.
SPoT Life and the rest of the shenanigans going down at the Skatepark of Tampa have returned to their own YouTube Channel and will all be available here!
True Skateboard Mag drops this teaser for the 2018 Tampa Pro March 2-4th 2018.
Every year we update the Pro Course here at SPoT to make way for Tampa Am and Tampa Pro, and this year was by far the best. Between Andrew Schoultz’s artwork and Skatelite providing the materials to make it all come together, it’s the sickest course to date (but we’re a little biased). Huge thanks to Skatelite and everyone who helped hammer a nail or push a broom to get this thing finished.
Shecks rifles off a ‘quick three’ during practice for the 23rd Annual #TampaPro contest! Coast to coast back tail? Damn…
If you missed Jean-Luc Vida’s “Inequality” video earlier this year, make sure you check out all the parts that have been dropping from it, including this one by our own Uncle Sam Bellipanni.
Dashawn Jordan is the winner of the 2016 Tampa Am and has qualified to the 2017 SLS Nike SB Pro Open.
Tampa Pro is famous for beating expectations, and this one outdid them all, with the Finals turning into the greatest shredfest in the history of all time.
