After a summer of heated qualifiers, the Vans Shop Riot Finals have returned. In partnership with Spitfire, Oakley and Stance, the 13th edition of the Finals landed for the first time at Manchester’s Graystone Action Sports to crown this year’s best skate shop team in Europe.
Vans Skateboarding presents “BLURRY”, an inside look at Rowan Zorilla’s recent travels and adventures with the Vans Skate Team around the world. Having filmed a majority of the footage himself on a personal pocket camera, Rowan also co-edited the video alongside filmmaker Greg Hunt, making “BLURRY” an authentic view into the world through Rowan’s eyes. Featuring Rowan Zorilla, Zion Wright, Digby Luxton, Elijah Berle, Curren Caples, Nelly Moreville, Etienne Gagne, Martino Cattaneo, Holly Wawn, Rory Milanes, Danny Brady, Willow Voges Fernandes, Chima Ferguson, Andrew Allen, Ben Kadow, Breana Geering, and Diego Todd.
The idea behind Once More is the principle of repetition in skateboarding. ‘Once more’ you go out to explore a new spot, ‘once more’ you try the same trick again hoping you’re going to make it this time, ‘once more’ you do “one last try” and ‘once more’ you leave your footprint in skateboarding. Filmed over the course of a year from September 2021 to September 2022 between Athens and Thessaloniki, the project captures the Greek Skateboarding community, highlighting the urban scenery of these historical cities.

Istanbul has always been a center of attraction with its historical structure and natural beauty, but it is also famous for its crowded and colorful street life. With its 16 million residents, cars, pedestrians, tourists and street vendors in each corner, the city can be challenging to navigate, especially for skateboarders trying to find a clear path.
Being only able to explore some of the city spots on Sundays, the VANS Turkey Skateboarding Team decided to find their ways in between all the spots that the cosmopolitan metropolis has to offer for about 6 months. They ended up with enough footage to create this new edit: ‘Sunday Summaries’, one of VANS Turkey skate team first edit to release on VANS channels!
This year Vans picked 3 props and 3 winners for Best Trick, each winner getting a $1k prize purse! With only 10 minute jams on each prop, it was absolute chaos! Here’s some highlights in case you missed it!
