Triple Quest Paris – Volcom

Invited skaters had to battle during 9 days for the VolcomTriple Quest in Paris in collaboration with Free Skate magazine, from September 11-19, 2019 to get a trick on each on the three chosen spots.

Heated sessions with skate buddies, sweat, beers and good times were had by all, as there was no one-minute-run stress or jam session hassle from “regular” skate comps.

Tons of tricks, including a couple NBDs, went down at the three spots: Creteil Ledges – The Volcom Stone place de la République – a two trick line at Le Dôme including the double set.

In the end only four winners claimed their bite at the 1000€ prize money under beer showers during the award party last Friday night…

Peter Hewitt Joins Volcom Skate Team

Since the early stages of his career, Peter Hewitt has pushed the level of skateboarding in his own way and on his own terms. He came up in the late 80s and early 90s and has been a huge part of skating all over the globe. Resonating out of San Diego, CA, he is a prodigy of the early San Diego skate scene. He grew in parks such as Linda Vista, Mike McGill’s skatepark and any terrain in between and beyond. His childhood crew of skaters included Jordan Richter, Fred Orlande, Alphonzo Rawls, Danny Way, and the list goes on. Pete was able to maintain his drive through the 90s when parks were gone, wheels were small, and pants were way too big. While some 90’s pros quit skating, Pete kept the fire lite and ventured out to find anything that he could rip on. This included backyards. He pioneered the early days of Bellmar’s and Chicken’s pools. “Street‐Pete” also made an appearance here and there.

Louie Lopez ‘Family Stone’ Capsule – Volcom

‘Louie Lopez is a natural on and off the board, when Volcom first met Louie he was quite the youngster, small, fully padded and always smiling. Today we see a refined grown up Louie and fortunately that same great smile never left his face. We’ve enjoyed all the years touring the world and ripping around town with Lou so we felt creating a signature capsule would be quite suitable for both Volcom and Louie, we encourage you to see what we’ve created’ -Remy Stratton
