Skaters Keeping It Rolling : Jamestown Community Center
Phil McCormick and The Jamestown Community Center provide youth in the Mission District of San Francisco a place to skateboard, have fun and be creative in a safe environment. Their organization and others like it rely exclusively on donations of skate gear to provide kids the opportunity to skate.
Donations from skaters and skateshops can help keep these organizations going or create new ones in places they don’t yet exist.
‘Keep It Rolling’ collection boxes are in skate shops now to help pass used gear onto organizations like these and other people who can use it.
Skate ‘Em – Pass ‘Em On
You don’t need trucks with supernatural powers to Keep It Rolling. Skate ’em and pass ’em on. Be on the lookout for the new Keep It Rolling boxes in your local shop now. Skate shops will be collecting used gear and passing it on to organizations or people who can use them. Done is not Done. Let’s Keep It Rolling.

Sky Brown x Skateistan Board by Almost Skateboards
Almost announces the launch of the Sky Brown signature board advocating Skateistan. The board represents the empowerment of children through skateboarding and education. Sky is not only a major supporter of Skateistan, but she embodies their philosophy and dedication to help others. These boards were designed with her favorite colors and dove graphics to represent peace on a global level. 20% of sales proceeds from this board go directly to Skateistan.
RVCALOHA 2019 | Hosoi Hammerhead Art Show
The main event of RVCAloha 2019 took place December 4th and was a night to remember. The evening’s exhibition, entitled ‘The #HammerheadShow’, was a unique exhibition showcasing of artwork dedicated to Christian Hosoi, inspired by his long legacy in skateboarding and the original Hammerhead deck painted by Keith Haring for Christian back in 1986. The show featured over 50 artists from around the world, ranging from close friends of the legendary skateboarder, to those who idolized him and his iconic style from afar. Replicas of the original hammerhead deck were provided to each artist to paint and each was hung along with an accompanying canvas, to create a one of a kind collection and art show. Proceeds from the purchase of each work will be donated to charitable causes of the artists’ and Christian’s choice.

Built To Play Skatepark Program – Tony Hawk Foundation
Two of the nation’s most prominent advocates for youth have joined together to address the need for more public skateparks. The Tony Hawk Foundation has partnered with the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation to promote the creation of free, public skateparks in the 16 counties of Southeast Michigan and Western New York served by RCWJRF.
With matching-grant funds of up to $250,000, the Built to Play Skatepark Program supports community groups and municipal entities seeking to create free, public skateparks that serve low-income communities. Built to Play Skatepark Grants also include an additional $50,000 to fund processes and design features that lessen the environmental impact of the skatepark. The Built to Play Skatepark Program also provides advisory services and advocacy training to assist groups in organizing and managing their efforts.
