10 years of the etnies Marana with Ryan Sheckler and Chris Joslin

In 2012, etnies launched the Marana with Ryan Sheckler, inspired by the goal of creating the longest lasting skateboard shoe. Today etnies celebrates 10 years of the shoe Ryan describes as timeless with a video and four limited-edition colorways of the Marana OG.

The Marana was designed piece-by-piece to blend strength, style, and high-impact cushioning. Sheckler says his adult years of trial and error in skateboarding and life have been lived in this shoe. With the World Tour still on hold, SLS decided to throw another informal event with a twist. The format is familiar, the rules are loose, the skaters are hand picked, and the location is private, as Volcom opens up their private skatepark for 10 of the world’s best skaters to go head-to-head for unregulated glory in becoming the next SLS Unsanctioned Champion. THE SKATERS: Dashawn Jordan, Mason Silva, Louie Lopez, Aurelien Giraud, Chris Joslin, Taylor Kirby, Ishod Wair, Tom Asta, Milton Martinez and Elijah Berle.
