Smile spent the past year filming across Bangkok, Thailand, and Changsha, Foshan, and Guangzhou, China, stacking footage that showcases his style, progression, and creativity in the streets. For the second episode of “The Plaza Project”, we’re heading to Lyon and the iconic Place Louis Pradel, better known to the local skate scene as “HDV”, short for Hôtel de Ville.
A true landmark in the city, HDV holds a deep place in Lyon’s skate history, shaped over the years by brands like Cliché Skateboards and Antiz, skaters such as JB Gillet and many more, as well as photographers like Fred Mortagne and Loïc Benoit.
Today, the spot brings everyone together, creating a unique atmosphere for sessions from day to night.
