Element and Tetsunori Tawaraya
Tetsunori is a Japanese underground illustrator and member of the progressive punk band 2up (pronounced upup). His favorite things to draw are imagery of body parts, creatures and undiscovered planets which he hand-paints to craft incredible sci-fi experimental compositions and sketch pieces. His art is also known through the comic books he creates using silkscreen and isograph techniques. Checkout the collection HERE.
Element x Bad Brains
Element and Bad Brains join forces on a collaborative collections that celebrates the influence Bad Brains had on both music and skateboarding. With Element as a continued positive force in skateboarding and Bad Brains as the godfathers of positivity in punk, this collaboration was a long time coming.
Nyjah Huston skated to Bad Brains in Element’s Elementality video back in 2005. This part and the board Nyjah was riding inspired the Bad Brains x Nyjah Huston board.
Element worked closely with Bad Brains founding member Darryl Jenifer to create and incorporate iconic Bad Brains artwork and photography into the collection. You can find Darryl’s hand drawn typography throughout the range of apparel, skateboards, and accessories. You can find original ‘Brainstorm’ artwork embroidered on the center front of the Brainstorm hoodie. The Brainstorm tee takes cues from the original artwork with its center front screen printed art. The 2318 tee features a photo shot in Washington D.C. in 1979 by photographer, Lucian Perkins. The clothes the band are seen wearing in this photo inspired many of the pieces found in the Element x Bad Brains collection.

KNÜCKS – Element Skateboards
Element presents KNÜCKS, a short skate video edited by French Fred Mortagne starring the Element international skate team. Chris “Cookie” Colbourn is Pro – Element
“We chose an unusual route, and decided that working with team rider Chris “Cookie” Colbourn for his own pro board made more sense than just slapping his name on any random idea the graphic department could come up with.
In a day and age when most skateboards can’t even choose their graphics, or provide much feedback on his/her pro designs what happened between Brian Arii, Element hard goods production expert & designer, “Cookie” and videographer Tom Mull was quite special.
Working with Cookie’s art the two creatives got together for a period of two weeks working on different ideas, graphic placement and discussing special production techniques to create three boards that celebrate ELEMENT’s latest pro rider art and passions.
All the three Cookie’s pro boards feature art hand-drawn by the east coast native himself, with one of the boards featuring two graphic layers that when skated, showcase an image of cookies.” – Element Skateboards
Element Timber! Go East
The “Go East” Collection is the brainchild of Element Advocate and artist Chad Eaton. Inspired by Japanese Yokai, the ghosts of Japanese folklore, Noh masks, and the classic Sukajan or “Souvenir jacket”, first created by US soldiers stationed in Japan after WWII. The result is a fierce and boldly illustrated collection.
Element x Griffin x Luisa via Roma
Element teamed up with Griffin Studio and renowned contemporary Italian fashion retailer Luisa Via Roma to create an exclusive outerwear piece.
