PRIMITIVE – DEFINE. Behind the Missions Episode 3. Carlos
On episode three of DEFINE. Behind the Missions, Carlos gives us some insight into filming his epic last part and why he wanted to focus on getting his enders early on in the filming process. We take a closer look at Miles’ dynamic with Carlos and how that led to quite a few of the important filming missions for the video. Although he was happy with his part, Carlos explains how he wished he could have filmed more but was cut short due to a devastating ankle injury.

REC is a new series by Eric Iwakura capturing skating in a format reminiscent to his favorite camera, the Sony VX1000. Episode 2 features Franky Villani with an appearance from Kyonosuke Yamashita.
DEFINE. Behind the Missions Episode 2. Ender Season – PRIMITIVE
On episode 2 of DEFINE. Behind the Missions, we look back at what went into Tre’s epic bigspin battle, and a rare case of Spencer going back to the same spot twice in one day while also filming a different trick in between. Miles revisits Stanford hubba after almost 8 years of not skating it, and Tiago with a spur-of-the-monent switch back tail while having to deal with the conditions of a busy pier in San Francisco.

Filmed over the last 18 months on a very temperamental VX1000, this video was shot in between different projects in London, Leeds, Milan, Lisbon, Perth, and Melbourne. Charlie and Quentin both but in a ton of work on this video project and we are thrilled to present to you Charlie Munro’s “SCRAPE” part.

On episode one of DEFINE. Behind the Missions, we take a closer look into Kyo and Dylan’s introduction to Primitive and what went into the short timelines they had to film for the video. Carlos tells us about how he didn’t see Dylan miss one flatground trick in 3 days and Paul explains how Kyo reminds him of his favorite era in skating.
