2018 Boards for Bros Build Day In Honor of Matt Woods
Thanks to SPoT’s friends at Vans, they had an awesome day full of building and giving the gift of skateboarding to Tampa Bay area nonprofits. SPoT kicked off their day by welcoming VIP guests from Positive Spin, Boys and Girls Club Liberty Teen Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Each guest got to build their own skateboard, customize the grip, get a skate lesson and a yummy lunch from The Bricks. After their distribution party, SPoT set everything up in the Courtyard for their Annual Board Build In Memory of Matt Woods. SPoT welcomed a ton of volunteers and they helped us build over 200 skateboards for upcoming holiday distributions.
Always need cash donations to help fill the gaps in our donations – please donate at BoardsforBros.org

A Park For The Pros Brings Skateboarding To The Kids In Kroksbäck | THIS IS OFF THE WALL | VANS
The Kroksbäck Skatepark was originally built in Malmö, Sweden for the Vans Park Series World Championship final in 2016. Once the event was over the skatepark was left behind for the city to enjoy and what has developed since is more than we expected. In particular, a group of local kids have picked up skateboarding for the first time and have made the skatepark their second home. This is a story about that community and the power of skateboarding.
